Glass cities, 2022, Animation and 3D modeling in collaboration with Alexia Antuofermo
In my eyes, literature becomes interesting, not only in the bound space of the book, but in the expanded community of readers. Through my work, I engage in particular social contexts and through artistic and literary means to effect change. I work in “contextual and relational literature” whereby literature becomes relational by weaving threads among individuals, communities, and their environments. This weft (unresolved, infinite) of lines is carried out through collective literary investigations. Here the work is not only the collection of testimonies and documents that come to form a piece of literature (poetry, fiction,
installation or performance etc.) but one where the very process of the investigation becomes an artistic experience that gathers and links, existing communities between themselves and creates new ones. I carry out my investigatory work with other artists and research in a poétique de la relation that centers and anchors my practice.

Christopher Alexander co-founded the collective Tramages with the visual artist Alexia Antuofermo and co-pilots its explorations with the other members.
Tramages brings together different disciplines, architecture, dance, poetics, the visual arts... in order to deploy these methodologies and practices in different environments, from urban and rural areas to the liminal spaces between them, in a play between inscriptions, investigations, and movement.
